One week later.. Jacob got his stitches removed!

Woohoo! Jacob finally got his stitches removed! The Nurse Practitioner said that once the scab falls off, I can start treating the scar with Maderma.

The kids and I went out to Pasadena to visit my aunt. She is down from Japan for the summer... Hopefully for good. I miss them so much when they are gazillion miles away! It's so nice when we can drive a short distance to visit and catch up. When we got to my cousins place, my aunt was already cooking some of her specialties..my favorite..aroz con gandules. It's a Puerto Rican rice. I helped her make potato salad, the dinner came out amazing! later, we saw some fire works from their balcony. I wished Andres was their to enjoy the view with me. ..theirs always next time:)

Night out with my hubby

I had gone grocery shopping down to canyon country..costco, with the kids yesterday. When I got home, I noticed that Andres was already home. I went up stairs and I was surprised to see a beautiful bouquet of flowers! He is so Romantic.

 Earlier in the day we were texting and he asked me out on a date. He told me that he would pick me up around 6 or 7.~We have fun like that sometimes..haha. So, I got ready and  we ended up getting together with my brother in law Frank. We went to Fantasia in down town Burbank to watch the UFC fight against Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin. I loved the fight..so intense..haha. It was so close! I thought Carwin would win after the first round, but Brock ended up winning in the second round. We also went to Burbank Bar and Grill across from fantasia's. It was a lot of fun. At first though, their was a live band who was playing 60-70's music... for the older crowd. I wasn't into the music at all! about an hour later, the DJ started playing hip hop music. Andres and I danced the night away..haha. We had a great time together. I Love my hubby:) 

At the end of the night we got kicked out of the bar..my bro in law Frank wasn't being very friendly to the security guard.. so we left. It was a good thing we did cause it was late and I didn't want to leave unhappy. It was an overall great night ;)

Yesterday we went to Pasadena to visit with my sister Mal and my Cousins Adam, David, and Erika and  their room-mate Rimar. We went to watch the new movie that I absolutely LOVED.. Eclipse. :) ~The perfect love story of Bella and Edward. haha. Best one of the three...so far! 

When we got back to their home, we went swimming and the boys BBQ'd some carne asada. Adam my cousin made some aroz con gandules..delicious! as the boys BBQ'd, Jacob ended up falling off the lounge chair and split his forehead open! :( my poor baby!! It was so hard to see him hurt. I wanted to endure his pain. We ended up leaving Pasadena and went to Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia. Jacob got 7-8 stitches. The doctor was astonished at how much he was fighting him from stitching him up. The doc said that he hadn't seen a little boy fight him so hard in 3 years! Jacob was just so scared. He has never endured such pain before. He's my little baby and whenever he falls, alls i gotta do is kiss it and it's all better. He called my name so many times.. he told me to help him. Broke my heart to pieces. Thank God my Andres was there to help. I would have been able to handle him...but it helped that daddy was their too.:)
